Ambassador Safiah Speaks to Christian Clergy
![]() | |
ON JAN. 7 Mai Abdul Rahman and her husband, Hassan Abdul Ali, invited to their Washington, DC home friends in the clergy and media, as well as lobbyists, activists, NGO heads, and others to meet Ambassador Afif Safieh, the newly arrived head of Palestine’s Mission in the United States. The meeting began what will be a vital dialogue between Washington-area churches and the ambassador. As a Christian himself, Safieh can address church audiences and explain that Christian Zionism is creating a serious problem for Arab Christians in Israel and Palestine, and other countries in the Middle East. Guests listened to Safieh’s remarks, asked questions and proposed strategies to help Palestinian speakers reach American audiences.
